New Year’s Photo Resolution: Entire List!

During the month of January, we posted daily ideas on how you could use your new (or old) camera–whether you’re a seasoned pro or a newbie.

Without further adieu, here is the entire month’s worth of suggestions!

  1. A photo a day for a year. Make a commitment to take a picture every day this year. But don’t just take a picture and forget about it–pick the best one and display it. Lots of places available; http://500px.com/ is a good community to check out.
  2. Pick an object, person, or whatever else you can think of and shoot it for 30 days. The key is to discover different perspectives, lighting situations, vantage points, and so on.
  3. Take a series of photographs using the same focal length. For example, you might go outside for an afternoon and shoot everything at 85mm. You might adjust your aperture, shutter speed, ISO, etc. or move closer…
